On Wednesday, March 16, the Minneapolis Downtown Council (MDC) held the latest Mornings with Steve Cramer. A conversation series for MDC members to learn more about issues impacting downtown Minneapolis, Mornings with Steve Cramer focused on the National Initiative for Building Community Trust & Justice (National Initiative). During the event, MDC President & CEO Steve Cramer was joined by Professor Mark Kappelhoff (University of Minnesota) and Deputy Chief, Chief of Staff Medaria Arradondo (Minneapolis Police Department) to talk about the Minneapolis Police Department’s participation in the National Initiative. Panelists also discussed the National Initiative’s approach to rebuilding community trust in the justice system and how it impacts law enforcement.
